Countrysänger und Countrysängerinnen sind in den USA die erfolgreichsten Künstler überhaupt. Ein typisches Merkmal sind die auf amerikanische Lebensverhältnisse angepasste Texte, die sehr oft persönlich und aktuell sind. Traditionell werden hauptsächlich Saiteninstrumente wie Gitarren, Banjos, Mandolinen oder eine einfache Geige benutzt.
Eine weitere Musikrichtung ist die sogenannte House Musik. Aus dieser Art der Musik leiten sich auch weitere Stilrichtungen der Musik ab. Hier werden alte Popsongs neu interpretiert und als Remix tanztauglich in den Discotheken gespielt. Nicht selten holen sich DJ´s dazu bereits bekannte Sänger und Sängerinnen.
Die klassische Musik geht bis ins frühe Mittelalter zurück und hat sich bis heute weiterentwickelt. Dennoch finden wir die schönsten Stücke der alten Meister immer noch auf der Beliebtheitsskala ganz oben.
